Height, not distance, decides where a car can be handed over in Cannes. A Cullinan on air suspension, a V-Class, anything wearing a roof box: Pantiero level 1, or a surface handover. We check the entry height against the specific car before confirming a meeting point, which is why we ask which model you want before we tell you where to meet it.

Le Suquet is a drop-off, not a delivery address. Two pedestrian zones sit inside it under the municipal order of 22 March 2024: the historic quarter — rue des Suisses, rue du Pré, rue Saint Dizier — and the church zone around rue Perrissol, rue de la Castre and place Paul Chanoine Grau. Retractable bollards control both, the limit inside is 10 km/h, and parking is forbidden outright. You stop, and the driver stays with the car. The useful detail is in article 4-3: taxis and private-hire vehicles hold a permanent right of entry for the stop strictly necessary to collect a passenger, requested through the interphone at the zone entrance, which reaches the Centre de Protection Urbaine at any hour of any day. Deliveries run 06:00 to 20:00 and only for vehicles under 8 m. Coaches are excluded, apart from the tourist train and the Suquet shuttle.
Two hundred metres away the rule inverts. The Meynadier perimeter — rue Meynadier, rue Venizelos, rue Rouguière, rue Emile Négrin, rue de la Miséricorde and their side streets — is governed by a separate order of the same date, and that one does not list taxis or private-hire vehicles among the authorised categories at all. Rue Rigue, impasse Paul, rue Ferry, impasse Bergerie and impasse Maréchal Joffre are closed to every vehicle. Elsewhere inside the perimeter the caps are 3.5 t and 7 m, and residents, traders and deliveries share two windows: 06:00 to 10:00 and 19:30 to 20:30, thirty minutes maximum, stopping only. Illegal parking is impounded. Two adjacent quarters, one street apart, two entirely different procedures. That difference decides whether a car is waiting when you come out of dinner.
On the Croisette itself, a traffic lane is gone for good. The order that installed the two permanent cycle lanes removed vehicle circulation from the seaward lane of the south carriageway between place de Gaulle and the Roseraie garden, and the lanes themselves run from place Franklin Roosevelt to Square Verdun. Stopping and parking on them is banned and enforced by impound. The one exception is the beach logistics areas between place de Gaulle and boulevard Alexandre III, where vehicles may cross perpendicularly by the shortest path and cyclists keep priority. So a Croisette handover happens on the north carriageway or on a hotel forecourt. Kerbside on the sea side is not available to us, and it is not available to anyone else either.
Cannes-Mandelieu sits 5 km west of the centre, about fifteen minutes, and it is not a small version of Nice. A ministerial order closes it to scheduled commercial traffic as a matter of law, so it is business and general aviation only. Jets above 35 t maximum take-off weight are banned, turboprops above 22 t are banned, Chapter 2 aircraft are banned outright, and Chapter 3 jets whose cumulative noise margin falls below 13 EPNdB are banned as well — which is why aircraft comfortably under 35 t are still turned away. That weight ceiling was only raised from 22 t in 2015. Published hours are handling from 06:30 and tower from 08:00, closing at 22:00 in high summer and 20:00 in winter. Nothing moves at night. A Global or a G650 lands at Nice, and the last 27 km are ours.
From Nice the road is 27 km and around thirty minutes when it flows, an hour when it does not, and the A8 on this stretch produces genuine twenty-kilometre queues rather than theoretical ones. The coastal M6098 is the alternative and it is not a shortcut: the lights through Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer routinely push it past the hour. Private arrivals come through the business aviation terminal beside Terminal 2, where three licensed handlers operate, and the helicopter terminal alongside has fourteen stands. Nice to Cannes by air is about seven minutes, landing either at Cannes-Mandelieu or at Cannes Quai du Large, the helistation on quai Max Laubeuf within walking distance of the Palais. Quai du Large carries a restriction worth knowing in advance: it is licensed for on-demand public transport only.
Four weeks of the year rewrite the map. On those days the gap between a fifteen-minute transfer and a fifty-minute one is which side of the perimeter the driver started on, and that is settled the night before.
| Event | Dates | Scale and effect |
|---|---|---|
| MIPIM | 9–13 March | — |
| 79th Festival de Cannes | 12–23 May | ~120,000 people (prefecture's working figure); security perimeter along the Croisette to the pont Alexandre III junction; city traffic plan in force until 08:00 on 24 May |
| Cannes Lions | 22–26 June | ~16,000 delegates |
| Yachting Festival | 8–13 September | Two sites, Vieux Port and Port Canto, linked by free sea shuttles every fifteen minutes |
For a handover at the water, the two ports work differently. The Vieux Port is run by IGY Marinas — 727 berths, 70 superyacht slips, up to 140 m length overall — and its road access funnels through Pantiero and the Palais car park, with the height limits above. Port Canto, at the eastern end of the Croisette, has 553 mooring posts, takes yachts to 90 m, and has gated vehicle access with a car park alongside. If the car has to be beside the boat rather than a short walk from it, Port Canto is the one that permits it.
One thing you do not need to arrange: Cannes has no low-emission zone and does not appear on the government list of them. Nice's zone was relaxed in April 2025 and now reaches only lorries over 3.5 t, buses and coaches rated Crit'Air 4 or 5, so a car moving between the two cities is unaffected. Any quote that adds a line for emissions compliance in Cannes is charging for something that does not exist.
Delivery and handover
Villa, hotel, airport, heliport, berth — you give us the address, we work out what it takes to put a car there. In Cannes that is the entry height of the garage. On the Rocher in Monaco, it is the number plate. We check before we confirm.

Yes. Villa, hotel, berth, or Nice Côte d'Azur / Cannes-Mandelieu. Give us the exact location in your request — that is what lets us answer in minutes rather than hours.
Not all of them, and that is worth knowing before you choose. Access, ceiling heights and restricted zones rule some cars out street by street. Every vehicle page names the cities we deliver it to. If the one you want is not listed for Cannes, give us the dates anyway — the network moves.
They are set by the partner supplying the car, not by us: deposit, minimum age, licence seniority and mileage vary from one to the next. They are stated in the written proposal before anything is confirmed. We act as an intermediary; the deposit and the insurance are held by that partner.
