Saint-Tropez has begun regulating chauffeured vehicles in the centre by name, and the detail is precise enough to plan around. The 2026 rules run from 23 May to 30 August. On a Saturday evening in July, the difference between knowing them and not knowing them is twenty minutes and an argument.
| Where | When | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Boulevard Vasserot | Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat · 16:00–20:00 | Closed to paid passenger-transport vehicles |
| Traverse de la Gendarmerie | Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat · 19:00–03:00 | Closed to paid passenger-transport vehicles |
| Avenue Foch, at Place Carnot | 20:00–03:00 | Seven drop-off spaces created |
| Loading bays: Bd Vasserot, Av. Paul Roussel, Av. de la Résistance, Bd Louis Blanc, Rue du 11 Novembre | 11:00–06:00 | Converted to drop-off use |
The old town closes itself separately. Retractable bollards control the Rue Allard, the Rue Gambetta and the Place Forbin from 16:00 to 03:00 from 1 July, and entry is by prior registration only — filed at the port parking office, open Monday to Thursday 06:30 to 14:30, or by email to the town's pedestrian-zone address, with supporting documents. There is no talking your way through it at the bollard.
Parking is the other half of the problem, and the numbers are published. The line that decides the car is at the Parking du Nouveau Port: vehicles over 1.90 m must use the oversize entrance. On its 2026 high-season scale, every quarter-hour begun is charged in full.
| Car park | Address | Spaces | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nouveau Port | 1 Avenue du Général de Gaulle | 1,477 + 8 coach bays | Over 1.90 m: oversize entrance |
| Parc des Lices | 41 Avenue Paul Roussel | 307, underground | — |
| Foch | 19 Avenue de la Résistance | 100 | — |
| Place du XVe Corps | — | 90 | Two hours free |
| Duration | Price |

| 15 and 30 minutes | Free |
| 1 hour | €4.50 |
| 4 hours | €11.80 |
| 12 hours | €29.60 |
| Full day | €56.40 |
Pampelonne is in Ramatuelle, not in Saint-Tropez, and it runs on its own rules. Four public car parks take card at the exit — Tahiti, Tamaris, Patch and Gros-Vallat — with Bonne Terrasse and L'Escalet on meters. Six named lanes come off the Route des Plages to reach them: route de Tahiti, chemin des Moulins, chemin des Tamaris, boulevard Patch, chemin de l'Épi and route de Bonne Terrasse. The paid season runs 2 April to 4 October 2026, parking is free before 11:00 and after 17:00, and the first half-hour is always free, which is what makes a drop-off workable. Between 12:30 and 16:00 in July and August it costs €1.80 per half hour, and a lost ticket is €17.40. Ramatuelle village parking is free all year, but in high season the Pont du Curé, Muletiers and Font d'Avaou car parks are reserved for registered residents and open on number-plate recognition.
Now the road, and an admission. Everything arrives by the A8 at exit 36 Le Muy, then the D25 through Sainte-Maxime, then the D559 and D98A. Every route in the gulf converges on the Carrefour de La Foux, a roundabout roughly 500 m by 300 m with a shopping centre inside it, signed at 50 km/h. Sainte-Maxime to Saint-Tropez is 16 km. We work to 100 minutes from Nice normally and 180 in season. What we will not give you is a measured August delay for La Foux, because none exists: there is no published traffic count, no prefectural summer circulation plan, and any operator quoting you a precise figure has made it up. What the record does establish is chronic saturation on that stretch, year-round, on roads that have not changed in thirty years.
Which is why we plan the last leg by water more often than most. Les Bateaux Verts cross from Sainte-Maxime in fifteen minutes, run eleven months a year with up to four rotations an hour, and go to a twenty-four-hour service on that line at the height of the season. Saint-Raphaël is about an hour with four return trips daily in July and August. From Cannes the crossing leaves the Quai Max Laubeuf and takes 1 h 15; from Nice, the Quai Lunel, 2 h 30. A car waiting at Sainte-Maxime with a boat transfer in front of it beats a car sitting in the D559 on 14 August, and we will say so.
La Môle is 15 km out and it is a genuinely constrained field, not a convenience. The runway is 1,071 m by 30 m, but the usable landing distance is shorter still — around 931 m on runway 06 and 1,071 m on 24 after the displaced thresholds. Crews need a special qualification issued by the French authorities and must give 24 hours' notice. It opens 08:00 to 19:00 in summer and 09:00 to 17:00 in winter, and with no runway lighting there are no night movements. Non-Schengen flights are only accepted between 1 July and 15 October. It handled fewer than ten thousand passengers in 2023. A heavy jet lands at Nice, and Saint-Tropez becomes either a road leg or twenty minutes in a helicopter from the Hélistation de Grimaud, 195 Avenue de l'Héliport, about 8 km out and daylight only.
At the port, the constraint is length. There are 734 berths across two basins with roughly a hundred kept for visitors, a maximum of 75 m overall and 5 m draught, and a harbour entrance 50 m wide. Under 50 m you lie in the Vieux-Port; above that you go to the Môle d'Estienne d'Orves. The capitainerie is on the Quai de l'Épi, works VHF 09, and is staffed around the clock in summer.
The calendar tightens twice. Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez runs 26 September to 4 October 2026 for its 28th edition, and the Loro Piana Giraglia occupies 12 to 20 June with the offshore start on the 16th. The Bravades take 16 to 18 May. The Polo Club sits out at the Haras de Gassin with a season from May to September. And from 15 June to 15 September, Ramatuelle runs a free shuttle from the Stade Municipal down to the beaches every fifteen minutes between 08:30 and 19:10 in July and August — which, for a villa on that side of the peninsula, is often the sane way to move a group while the car stays put.
Delivery and handover
Villa, hotel, airport, heliport, berth — you give us the address, we work out what it takes to put a car there. In Cannes that is the entry height of the garage. On the Rocher in Monaco, it is the number plate. We check before we confirm.

Yes. Villa, hotel, berth, or Nice Côte d'Azur / La Môle – Saint-Tropez. Give us the exact location in your request — that is what lets us answer in minutes rather than hours.
Not all of them, and that is worth knowing before you choose. Access, ceiling heights and restricted zones rule some cars out street by street. Every vehicle page names the cities we deliver it to. If the one you want is not listed for Saint-Tropez, give us the dates anyway — the network moves.
They are set by the partner supplying the car, not by us: deposit, minimum age, licence seniority and mileage vary from one to the next. They are stated in the written proposal before anything is confirmed. We act as an intermediary; the deposit and the insurance are held by that partner.
